TEMPLE VEIL
About Temple Veil
DeRock and Brysson met in Nashville, TN, while touring in separate bands. The two began writing together, and eventually joined forces, touring the world as members of a successful hard rock group, opening for Skillet, Newsboys, and Third Day. However, the rock band dissolved, leaving the two wondering where their musical journey would lead them next. While continuing to pursue the hard rock genre, vast opportunities presented themselves for DeRock and Brysson to lead worship. Despite their cultural and personality differences, DeRock and Brysson deserted their past and united their passion for God, people, and music in obedience to the calling that was tugging at their hearts. During the first few weeks of Temple Veil, God showed them that it wasn't about what they did or did not have, but it was about living a life of obedience.
Since 2010, they have been absolutely blown away watching God at work while they serve year-round in full-time ministry. While not leading worship at Calvary Salt Lake, Temple Veil tours across 49 states, Canada, Europe, performing over 150 dates annually. With 4 months of the year being spent in Salt Lake, the remainder of the year is spent touring. During those 8 months, they have the privilege to invest in people of all denominations and all ages, including many youth camps and festivals throughout the summer months. In addition to headlining their own tours, Temple Veil has toured with Steven Curtis Chapman, Ryan Stevenson, JJ Weeks Band, and For King & Country. Mission Statement
When the veil was torn from top to bottom (Matthew 27:51-53), we were provided complete access to a life of grace. This is the exact message that we are called to share as we usher God's people into the throne room of Christ. Our prayer for those we serve is that their veil may be lifted as they encounter true intimacy with Christ through worship.
But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. (2 Corinthians 3:16-18 NLT)
How We've Been Funded
God's constant provision has never ceased to amaze us. For the past 9 years, Temple Veil has been fully supported by love offerings. God has been faithful and will always be faithful. As we are walking in obedience to what He has called us to, we want to recognize that part of that calling is to link arms with others. After recently making Calvary Salt Lake our home church, we want to offer you the privilege of standing with us while serving the Lord to accomplish his will. Our prayer is that Temple Veil not only encourages you, but inspires you to step out in your own faith. It's not about ministry, but how God wants to use you to impact lives through the ministry of Temple Veil. Click here if you'd like to donate to Temple Veil's ministry.
